Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (SOVA) Level 2

  • To understand what is abuse and neglect,
  • To be able to identify the types of abuse and neglect,
  • To know who is at risk,
  • To understand what makes individuals vulnerable,
  • To understand the laws and regulations,
  • To understand who commits abuse,
  • To be aware of indicators of the different types of abuse,
  • Reporting abuse and whistleblowing.

The Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults (SOVA) Level 2 is designed for those wishing to use the qualification in industries where they have contact with potentially vulnerable adults including care and social work.

The course is run over 1 day with a minimum of 3 guided learning hours or online.
